How to get newspapers to publish a story?
Hi there … I have a business making custom jewelry design. I have designed a beautiful 18 carat white gold and diamonds with a central stone Morganite (pink) Anyway, I made this donation to breast cancer auction. I gave it, because I want to help but is very good to receive some recognition for her too. I tried calling a local newspaper and let them know what I'm doing, but so far nothing has come of it. Any ideas on how to get a newspaper to publish a story about me and what I do? I need to show low or no cost!
I guess that the person should be a part of the conversation. The cancer group was probably a person who handles public relations type of questions. A call that might help. If you call, may appear to be fishing for advertising only. Another warning: you did a good gesture but there are many such gestures. No assurance about their action to obtain publicity.
